Although I am more than happy with the LUSH collection that I already own, I can’t help but want more… It’s like I’m addicted to the brand and its products. Here are some of the stuff which LUSH sells but I need!

A gentle soap made with antiseptic rosewood, sandalwood, and absorbent charcoal that can be used on the face and body. Sandalwood oil gives this soap a distinctive earthy fragrance. Charcoal is known for its absorbency, while liquorice root softens the skin and rosewood oil has antiseptic properties. It’s gentle enough for your face, but you can use it all over your body. Simply use as a soap and wash the day off.

This soap is targeted at people who suffer from acne-related breakouts. It’s ideal for those who wish to change from using normal liquid cleansers as it comes in the form of a soap.

However, don’t be alarmed because this isn’t going to dry your skin out like normal soaps do… In fact, this is a hydrating, preservative-free facial cleanser that works to balance out the oils, making it perfect for combination to oily skin.

Powdered charcoal absorbs excess sebum and acts as a mild exfoliator, while rosewood and sandalwood oils reduce redness and clear up blemishes. Use Coalface daily for clear, balanced skin.

Grease Lightning

Grease Lightning is a powerful combination of ingredients that will nip any breakouts in the bud without upsetting the skin around them. We use an infusion of antibacterial and antiseptic rosemary, thyme and tea tree, as well as antioxidant-rich grape juice and witch hazel, which is astringent and anti-inflammatory and is said to soothe redness. This product is ideally applied when you feel a spot is about to erupt – prevention is better than cure.

Grease is one of my favourite films of all time, and Grease Lightning is a title of one of the songs in the movie… So, imagine my delight when I heard that LUSH has a product called exactly that?! Okay, I understand that Grease Lightning isn’t the best name for a skincare product but LUSH are very creative with names!

To my surprise, Grease Lightning has nothing to do with oiliness. Instead, Grease Lightning is a spot treatment that acts as a prevention mechanism from breakouts.

Apparently, the best way to use this product is after cleansing and toning… Just dab a bit of this gel on-top of the spot and leave it to soak in. Once soaked in, you’ll notice that the redness will begin to fade. Many reviewers have praised this product for helping to get rid of the spots and not leaving marks where they used to be.

The Sacred Truth

Revive your complexion with ginseng and ginkgo leaf to boost blood circulation, whilst honey, yoghurt and free range eggs leave skin soft and moisturised. Wheatgrass is full of nutrients to feed your skin, whilst the enzymes in fresh papaya will strip away dead skin, helping to give you a gorgeous glow. Smoothe a generous layer of this mask onto your face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes and let the ingredients get to work before washing off gently with warm water.

I’m going to be straight with you and say that most face masks don’t work on me… I’ve tried many that seem to do nothing but break me out even more! In fact, I’d even go as far as to that I 100% believe that I developed acne through the use of a face-mask. Having said that, I trust LUSH to break the curse and prove to me that not all masks are bad for my skin.

The Sacred Truth is one that I’ve heard a lot about… Apparently, it’s an anti-aging face mask that helps to soothe, hydrate, and enhance the complexion as well as brighten skin restoring its youthfulness.

Ingredients: HoneyGlycerineKaolinTalcFresh PapayaSoya yoghurtBentonite GelOrganic Evening Primrose OilLanolinFair Trade Shea ButterExtra Virgin Coconut OilFresh Organic Free Range EggsYlang Ylang OilRose AbsoluteLavender OilRosewood OilFresh WheatgrassOrganic Ginseng Root Powder, Green Tea Powder, Ginkgo Leaf Powder, Bee Pollen*Benzyl Benzoate*Citronellol*Farnesol*Geraniol*Limonene*Linalool and Perfume.

Cosmetic Warrior

A gentle and balancing fresh face mask with antibacterial tea tree and fresh garlic working together to cleanse. Fresh green grapes clean and cool the skin, whilst free range eggs tighten its texture and antimicrobial honey leaves it soft and moisturised. Smooth a generous layer of this mask onto your face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.

If you’ve got acne-prone and/or sensitive skin you should definitely consider buying this product.

Cosmetic Warrior is the only mask which promises to “combat troublesome spots, cleanses and cools the skin” but delivers [as fas as all the reviews which I’ve read are concerned].

Apparently, it clears out your pores and draws everything to the surface. So, don’t use it on the night before a special occasion incase you wake up to find breakouts that’d been trapped under your skin.

However, be prepared to stink while wearing it because it’s packed with garlic and free-range eggs. Other ingredients include: KaolinFresh Green GrapesHoneyCornstarchGlycerineTea Tree Oil*Limonene and Perfume.

If you do go ahead and purchase this, make sure you use it in 3 weeks because that’s when the ingredients will go ‘off’…

Fresh Farmacy

Every ingredient is carefully selected for its gentleness on the skin, with chamomile, elderflower, calamine and lavender; this is nature at its kindest. In order to make this soap gentle enough to use on your face as well as your body, we took out some of the soap base and replaced it with beautiful essential oils: chamomile blue oil is soothing on the skin; lavender oil calms the mind; tea tree oil is a mild antiseptic and rose absolute is good for restoring balance to the skin.

Here’s another facial-soap that I’m eyeing up… This one is the one you should turn to when Coal Face has done its job… Once all your spots have gone, it’s a good idea to give Fresh Farmacy a go!

Fresh Farmacy is a calming soap-cleanser that cleans, refreshes and calms your skin down preventing further breakouts. It’s creamy on the skin, produces a nice lather, but not overwhelming.

It’s not just skincare stuff that I’ve got my eye on… Oh, no! I’ve also got my eye on almost all of their bath and lip products. But, it’ll take me forever to write them down. Here are a few from my selection:

Yes, these are all exclusive to LUSH as part of their Valentine’s Day collection, so get yours while you still can!

My Magic Foundation is a miracle in a bottle that transforms skin for all ages, skin tones and skin types. I have worked with laboratories for five years to create a “hyper-intelligent” formula that gives full-coverage yet feels completely weightless, with all the anti-ageing and protective benefits of a luxury skin cream. It conceals imperfections, glides on like a dream, and literally feels like a second skin. Whether your skin needs just a bit of perfecting, or you struggle with a frustrating issue like acne, melasma or rosacea, my Magic Foundation will give you a perfect looking skin day, every day!
Charlotte Tilbury‘s Magic Foundation was my top beauty buy of 2015. On the website, it’s described as a “miracle foundation that transforms skin of all ages, skin-tones, and skin types” – I couldn’t agree more.

Apparently, this product was five years in the making. Its “hyper-intelligent” formula covers imperfections beautifully but feels completely weightless on the skin. What’s more, it packs all the protective and anti-aging benefits of a premium cream into a tiny 30ml bottle, meaning that you can wear it on its own – instead of your moisturiser.

Although the bottle is small, a little of this foundation goes a long way – providing that you use a good brush/beauty blender to spread it evenly. Personally, I find that this foundation is very easy to blend and has maximum staying power. So, whether you’re accidentally rubbing your face or walking out in the wind/rain, it doesn’t budge.

As you may know, I used to suffer from acne, so I’ve got plenty of acne scars (which this conceals very well). If your skin needs a pick-me-up or you struggle form skin problems (like me) choose Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation because it’ll keep you skin looking “on fleek”.

My secret’s out… Over the past 20 years I’ve been mixing my own age-defying skincare known in the industry as CHARLOTTE’S MAGIC CREAM. I’ve been testing it backstage for years and models and my regular clients are already hooked. It’s a secret mix of patented anti-age ingredients, a hyaluronic acid booster plus floral extracts that lift and transform tired skin in an instant! Think of a wilting flower that’s just been watered – skin is flooded with moisture for a glowing complexion in a flash, no matter how dehydrated or lacklustre your skin may look.

A break-through, multi-tasking ingredient, the BioNymph Peptide Complex, fights the ageing process on all fronts: it stimulates collagen production and cell energy and fights free radicals, to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the skin. A hyaluronic acid booster called Sodium Hyaluronate floods skin with moisture, re-plumping the skin. And an infusion of rose hip oil and vitamin E bring your complexion back to life. Whether you’re stressed at your desk, dehydrated after a long-haul flight or an all-night hedonist with hungover skin, cheat the appearance of 8 hours sleep with CHARLOTTE’S MAGIC CREAM, for a lasting dewy, plumped-up finish. It’s one of my seven wonders for your skin!

Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream is incredible. It may be expensive, but it lasts a very long time so it works out cheaper in the long run…

So, this cream costs £70 but is so worth it! I mean, you can’t put a price on good skin. It had been in the pipeline for 20 years, but now it’s finally out on the beauty counters of many prestigious department stores. Prior to unveiling the cream commercially, Charlotte had been using it on models and regular clients for many years. All of them were hooked, including me!
I mean, it’s not just Victoria who has a secret… Charlotte Tilbury’s got one too… But, what’s hers? This cream. It includes a secret mix of patented anti-age ingredients, a hyaluronic acid booster, and flower extracts to lift and transform tired looking skin in an instant. It leaves your skin looking lively with a glowing complexion, no matter how dehydrated your skin is.

This is a light, cocoa butter-free moisturiser that doesn’t sit on the skin or overload it. It vanishes completely, leaving beautifully soft, lightly fragranced skin. It’s ideal for using in the morning under make-up, or to refresh you during the day. Essential oils of lavender, neroli and geranium oils help to balance the skin and give it a light scent.

Never in my life have I been as obsessed about a product as I am about LUSH‘s Vanishing Cream. I could write paragraphs and paragraphs about how amazing it is and that still wouldn’t do it justice!

This cream is the single best thing I have ever received in my whole, entire life. You must think that I’m extremely sad to be singing the praises of a materialistic object, but I cannot tell you how long I have been searching for something as good as this. I mean, I’ve only got a sample of the stuff but I’m already completely hooked.

Allow me to explain why I’m so over-excited about this product… After just three applications, I have noticed that my acne scars have faded considerably! What’s more, it’s soothed my breakouts and prevented more from forming.

The full list of ingredients are as follows: Linseed InfusionWater (Aqua)Rose WaterLavender Honey WaterOrganic Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil, HoneyStearic AcidOrganic Jojoba OilWitch Hazel ExtractFair Trade Shea ButterCetearyl AlcoholTriethanolamineCamellia OilLavender OilNeroli OilGeranium OilGlycerineTincture of Benzoin*Geraniol*Limonene*Linalool,  PerfumeMethylparabenPropylparaben.

If you need other reasons to buy this product, I’ve got plenty more advantages coming up… It hydrates your skin for 24 hours [tried and tested], it’s a great base for make-up, and the product lasts a heck of a long time as a little goes an actual long way. For example, even though I’ve applied it on three separate occasions, I still have most of my sample left.

All in all, it smells like lavender, glides on like a dream, keeps breakouts at bay while soothing rogue spots and fading current acne scarring. There are absolutely no downsides to this product as far as I’m concerned.

I give this product 5♡♡♡♡♡ because hearts beat stars any day of the week…

Late last month, I begun taking part in the Dove Beauty Bar challenge – which entails washing my face with nothing but the soap for seven days. Now, I’m very late in the game because this was a trending topic in the #bloggersphere years ago. But, I found a bar of Dove’s soap lying around the house recently and thought that I’d give it a go.

Every morning, I’d wake up and wash my face with Dove’s Beauty  Bar, doing the same at night. I’ve got to admit that this was the first time that I’d used soap on my face  – as I’m used to liquid cleansers. However, I’m a firm believer in the saying: ‘there’s a first time for everything’.

According to research, Dove had previously released an advert where women washed their faces with nothing but the Beauty Bar for a total of seven days. They were prohibited from looking in the mirror so that they’d become more receptive to the changes in their skin since using the soap. Although I’m not brave enough to spend a week without looking in the mirror, I tried the challenge nonetheless but hated every second…

Let’s start off with the positives – the bar is soft, smooth, pure and very luxurious! Other pros include the fact that it’s cheap to buy and easy to use. The negatives? It dries my skin out quickly and the moisturising effect wears off soon after. I also found that the soap irritated my extremely sensitive eyes.

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend using this product on your face. Having said that, it’s great to wash your body with! I’d give Dove’s Beauty Bar 1* because it just didn’t work for me…

In this post, I’ll be sharing all of my beauty secrets with you. Ideally, it’ll give me a chance to introduce my readers to some products which they may not have heard of and/or remind others of products that they may be missing.

The first step is to find a cleanser that’s right for your skin. The worst thing to do is use a cleanser because your friends use it, or someone famous endorses it. The point I’m trying to make is: everyone has different skin cells and skin types. So, what works for them won’t necessarily work for you…

I used to purchase products based on word-of-mouth until I got acne. Now, I stick to a tried and tested routine that works to keeps my spots at bay. I’m not going to lie, I get the odd spot – but it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be!

Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser [RRP: £17]

I remember the moment my mum took me to Kiehl’s because she’d tired of hearing me complain about my acne. I mean, it got so bad that I was prescribed Roaccutane!

We were greeted by a lovely guy who didn’t look at me weirdly or treat me any different. He was very nice, explained the back story of the brand and recommended that I try their Blue Herbal Gel range. He predicted that my skin would clear up in just one month after using these products. He was so sure about them that he promised to give me my money back if they didn’t work. That’s sheer confidence if ever I saw it!

Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser is oil-free and non-drying. It’s inspired by Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion and is a Salicylic Acid treatment with extracts of Cinnamon Bark and Ginger Root.

Of all the acne treatments I have ever tried, this is the one that I’ve seen the most results while using. I’m not just saying this, but it cleared up my skin in less than four weeks. Yes, it dried my skin out, but it did what it said it would which was to get rid of my spots.

If it weren’t for Kiehl’s, I probably would’ve had no option but to use Roaccutane. I’d go as far as to say that drugs don’t solve the problem. I can’t believe that dermatologists think that a drug as harsh as Roaccutane can cure something that could easily be treated using the right herbal facial products.

I still use this cleanser to this day as means of preventing my acne from returning, and it still works a treat!

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads [RRP: £12.95]

Unveil younger-looking skin with our innovative Glycolic Fix. 60 radiance-boosting pads, soaked in exfoliating glycolic acid (2.8%) retexture + resurface skin whilst witch hazel helps to tone. This moisturising formula with hyaluronic acid + soothing blue daisy helps to reveal brighter + smoother looking skin.

Alright, I know I was banging on about not conforming to something that celebrities swear by, but this stuff actually works. As you know, Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian-Klan is an ambassador for Nip + Fab. According to the website, Kylie is a big fan of the stuff.

These pads work as a toner for the skin, and are specifically formulated to remove dead skin cells, and help lighten discolouration in the skin caused by aging. But, what most people don’t know is that this range can also be used by acne-sufferers.

I love this product because of how gentle it is on my skin. It’s not harsh or coarse in any way. I also like that it absorbs into my skin pretty quickly. What’s more, I can really feel it working because I sense a tingling feeling after I apply it to my face and neck.

Premier Para-Pharmaceutical Facial Exfoliating Gel [RRP: £25.44]

This 5.5 pH balanced soap-less facial cleanser is rich with therapeutic essential oils and Dead Sea minerals and is suitable for all skin types.

I use this product once or twice a week as an exfoliator. I first came across it in Westfield. Yes, they gave me that long marketing spiel about how awesome this product is, and yes I did fall for it…

However, unlike other marketing spiels which are enticing but fall flat after use, this one didn’t. I’ve been using it for a year now and have encountered no problem other than the granules going in my eyes.

I love this product because it works to deep cleanse my skin, removing all the impurities. It’s packed with healthy ingredients that leaves my skin feeling smoother and more radiant.

Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Serum [RRP: £19.95]

A lightweight serum that delivers an instant shot of moisture to dehydrated skin. Hyaluronic acid and delicate velvet flower blend together for an intensive hydrating effect that leaves skin feeling comforted and looking plumper with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles reduced.

Before moisturising, it’s vital to add a serum to a freshly cleansed and toned face. That’s where Nip + Fab’s Dragon’s Blood Fix comes in…

You can use this miracle worker underneath your make-up in morning or evening. Aside from the fact that like all Nip + Fab products, it’s smells amazing – this gel sits perfectly well on the skin too.

Cleansers [especially like Kiehl’s one] and toners can be very drying on the skin. So, it’s vital to place a serum on top to give it that burst of moisture.

Although this cream is multi-purpose in that you can use it at any time during the day, I only use it in the morning. I love this moisturiser because it’s thick and very hydrating! I’ve been using it for 6 months and refuse to change it.

Nip + Fab’s Bee Sting Fix Deluxe Cream includes vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and propolis extract which work together with the bee venom and shea butter to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Since using this cream, my skin feels smoother, looks more plump and my complexion appears healthier.

This product can be used underneath make-up [if you’re going out at night] or on a cleansed face before bed. I’m obsessed with this moisturiser and would say that it’s the best night cream I have ever used.

I spend my whole life laughing and smiling so I need an intensive cream that smooths out my fine lines and wrinkles whilst hydrating my skin in the process – the Extreme Night Fix does just that!

Obviously our skin repairs itself each night while we sleep, so it’s really important to use a good night cream that works for us, and the Viper Venom range by Nip + Fab works for me…

Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye [RRP: £14.95]

A refreshing eye gel in a cooling roll-on applicator with wrinkle minimising LIFTONIN® + SYN®-AKE to smooth the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles around the eye area. Red Algae Extract reduces the look of dark circles for a radiance boosting effect. With Syn-ake, a revolutionary ingredient that works to smooth skin and liftonin for instant tightening.

I’ve used many eye creams that claim to make your eyes look younger, but fail. I’ve also tried plenty of roll-on gels that don’t work either. But, I can vouch that Nip + Fab’s Viper Venom Eye does!

I first tried it as a way of reducing the appearance of my dark circles and crows-feet. I found that in just one use, my eyes looked younger, less tired and revitalised.

This eye gel is something that I’d recommend to people who tend to wake up and put their shades on out of embarrassment. You can apply it in the morning or at night, and I promise that you won’t need to wear your sunglasses again [when protecting the World from your tired eyes].
