Wow! Thrice in one day… Aren’t you lucky?! I promise to make this my last post, because I’m on my way to a spa weekend – so I’ll have very little, if any at all access to my blog.

I wanted to share my favourite supplements (some of which I’m sure you’re familiar) and how they’ve helped me…

If you know me, you know that apart from the money I put aside for my future, I spend the rest in Holland & Barretts and/or Lush. Literally, those two are the only stores that I shop at.

Anyway, I’ve always been really into supplements, but taking it all more seriously of late because they’re honestly a life changer… I used to be lethargic, lacking in energy… My skin went through breakouts regularly and my hair was hard to maintain… I was a mess… I’m probably still a mess, let’s not beat around any (armpit) bushes… But, I’m less of a mess than I once was, admittedly. What’s changed? My life and more so, my lifestyle…

Obviously my most recent skincare routine and diet has been helping… But, outside of that, I’ve been taking care of the problems within. I’ve started by taking Pilfood (great for hair thinning, dry scalp and hair loss/damage), Juice Plus Berry (for great overall health), Cayanne Pepper along with Apple Cider Vinegar tablets (for extra help to burn fat/calories, eliminating cravings for unhealthy snacks). I’ve also started walking a lot more… Look, I’ve not seen miraculous changes, but I’ve seen changes nonetheless. Literally, just a mere hour after taking Juice Plus Berry, I am bursting with energy and don’t feel lazy. It’s actually strange. It’s weird that three little tablets can give you such a boost.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Cayanne Pepper are the ones less likely to show you a difference straightaway. However, I did start noticing changes a couple of weeks after taking them. For instance, I was less bloated and my body looked less water retention stricken.

Pilfood? It’s been something my mum’s talked about for years… My mum really benefitted from using them, and I’ve started to. This is a new tablet for me, so I can’t say, I, myself have have been taking it long enough to give it a fair assessment. However, I’ll circle back and let you know soon. The biggest change on the hair front though is that I’ve started – dare I say it – putting a brush to thy hair, twice a day. I have also been plaiting it in two. Plaiting hair helps keep it clean, healthy, stronger (and apparently it helps it grow over time)? I’m not sure about the latter, but it’s something I heard once.

Finally (but not entirely so), and lastly, this is less of a supplement… But, the secret to banishing premature greying of the hair is drinking powdered yeast with milk. Look, there is no way of sugar coating this… It is hand on heart the vilest thing I’ve ever tried, but it apparently helps. So, I’ve been taking it with almond milk and honey. Gross but helpful.

Also, a great shampoo & conditioner combo that I’ve tried whilst taking Pilfood is the HairBurst one… Yep, you’ve guessed it… That too can be found at Holland & Barretts. Oh, and I think the Penny Sale is still happening in store… So, if you’d like to buy one and get the other for 1p, choose H&B!

Disclaimer: although all are organic and only use the most natural of ingredients, I am not sure if they’re entirely suitable for vegetarians. It’s best to check before purchasing. Also, supplements only work when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle. You cannot take them as a replacement of food. Similarly, you cannot take them on their own, without putting real work in place, and notice a healthier change. The changes start from within.

Ciao for niao,
