Have I blogged about Dark Angels before? I think not… So, here goes.

This is a post about Dark Angels, one of the best cleansers I have ever used. When I had acne, it was my go to cleanser after Kiehl’s Blue Herbal had done its job.

Not many know this but I actually worked at LUSH as a Christmas Temp, and I loved every second of it… During that time, my makeup application was heavy (to cover my acne), and my pores were blocked, and I wasn’t confident. It was awful. However, I do believe LUSH’s Dark Angels helped me. I’ve been using it for years and have noticed a real difference in the appearance of my skin’s texture, overall complexion and cleanliness.

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, Lush’s Dark Angels is an allrounder for me, I use it as a mask, a cleanser and a scrub. It’s got activated charcoal (my favourite ingredient in facial washes), Rhassoul mud, avocado oil and black sugar granules – but somehow smells like liquorice…

The two things I don’t like about it are that it somehow leaves a black tint to your skin, when not washed properly and if not washed off in the right water temperature, it could leave the sugar granules in your pores.

However, I’ve got a confession to make – I haven’t been using it as my cleanser anymore… I’ve actually been using it to brush my teeth with. Strange, huh? Well, actually, no – not really… I’ve been discovering lots of charcoal toothpastes that claim to strengthen and whiten teeth but I’ve just not wanted to purchase some in regret, in case I didn’t like it. So, instead, I’ve been using LUSH’s Dark Angels, and I can say that my teeth have never felt so clean or looked so white. It’s actually incredible. It’s really, very strange (the taste and the texture of it), I’m not going to lie, but the results speak for themselves. Wow!

I’ve just stumbled on a way to make a more adult cereal using a childhood fave… Valentine’s Day is all about chocolates and flowers, right? So, why not get some Coco Pops into your system?

What you’ll need:

A bowl and a spoon (optional 😂)

Kelloggs’ Coco Pops

Alpro Chocolate Soya Milk

Shot of Baileys (including bottle cap for measuring)

What to do:

Whether you’re the type to put the cereal before* or after the milk, do your thing! Mix it and drink it…

*Sane people in #Formation

What does it taste like?

Remember, though, that Coco Pops has as much sugar content as a can of coke (35g), so don’t have too much of it… Sorry to poop on your party, it’s just facts… I can’t NOT tell you, can I? It wouldn’t sit right with me… I’m usually healthy, but Coco Pops is just to good to be without!

Hi guys and dolls,

Moo(ve) over Tinder! There’s an old  but apparently new ‘dating app’ in town…

I just wanted to come online to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day and draw your attention to this awesome Moment making the rounds on Twitter. Virtual love is a thing. Yes, you can fall in love online… To those sceptics, let this be the living proof!

Next time you’re considering “sliding into *insert name here*’s  DMs”, don’t think twice – just do it! Look where you could end up (in a Moment, and in a deep and true love)…

Have a beautiful rest of the night with your other halves, and to those of you who are single – like me – don’t fret, just buy some calves… Cows make great pets, big or small, if you know what I mean…

Love is like pollution, it’s in the air! Kind of like Phil Collins – who’s still ‘In The Air Tonight’ – after that spellbinding and mesmerising drum solo… He’s closely followed by that Gorilla in the Cadbury’s advert, so approach with bananas (and plenty of warm hugs).

Anyway, if you’re not a fan of carbon emissions and pollution, but love Phil Collins and/or romance in general, then you’ll LOVE Lush’s Cupid bath thingy majiggy.

LUSH’s bath bombs are without a doubt my favourite things to include in my bath. They include the most natural ingredients, essential oils, salts and whatnot… It’s great! Why spend your money on buying separate essential oils and salts when you can get them combined in a cute shape and an array of colours?

This post is focussed particularly on LUSH’s ‘Cupid’. You know, the cute and chubby half-naked angel who strikes people using his bow-and-arrow? Yeah, that one!

Be still your beating heart with an opulent bathtime bouquet of calming rose and bergamot. This fantastically floral fizzer is full of uplifting bergamot, rose and violet leaf absolute, and its subtle sweetness is sure to melt your heart as it melts into your bathwater.

LUSH have gone for a minimalist pink heart shape with an arrow  piercing through it, #ShotInTheHeart #BonJoviIsJovialThisWeekend.

This bath melt smells sensational, like it should go viral online. The main fragrances which I could make out are lime, bergamot and a hint of rose. It’s just lovely. Again, like most of LUSH’s bath melts, the smell travels faster than light, allowing everyone on the floor of your bathroom to smell it and get jealous!

Try it with or without a bae, “todae” – or tomorrow when Lush stores reopen. Whenevs. 💘
