Tonight, I’m going to do this #NationalPizzaDay differently…

The video above shows you how to make heart shaped pizzas, because Valentine’s Day is coming up soon – and everyone loves a pizza, right? Yes, yes they do!

Enjoy this video… If you decide to make your own, using the recipe shown, please let me know what you thought and how you found it. Comment below either way, I love a “chinwag paddywag give a cat a stroke!”

What’s your favourite pizza? I’m talking chosen restaurant, flavour, topping, crust… The lot! For those of you who – for allergy reasons – can’t eat it, or are just simply not a fan – what do you perfer as a substitute? Get involved if you want to. I look forward to hearing from you!

Seeing as I’m focusing on baking and baked treats today, I thought I’d share these ‘Rose Petal & Chinese Tea Shortbread‘ biscuits with you…

These are not just the perfect accompaniment to your tea or coffee but are a perfect choice when creating your own Valentine’s Day dessert canapé – if you’re bringing that special someone round for a meal.

From a west country family run bakery that continue to source as many ingredients they can from local farmers with each biscuit still handfinished to perfection.

These aptly love-heart shaped biscuits are absolutely delicious to taste. The flavours are extremely delicate but work well to cleanse the palate.

I tend to spread a thin layer of Meridian Almond & Coconut Butter over them, but they are perfectly fine to be topped with yoghurt, clotted cream, chocolate spread etc. Alternatively, you can just dip them into your brew or cup o’ coffee and they’d still do the trick.

In terms of calories, they can’t be too calorific because they’re somewhat thinner than the average (and very delicious) shortbread. After doing some digging, I found that each biscuit amounts to 53 calories. There we go! Another ‘almost’ guilt-free thing to get into your system!

If you’d like to get some for yourself, head to your nearest BIG or little Waitrose (the shop). ❤

I had originally torn a ligament in my thigh (around the part of the hip flexor) and now I’ve only gone and done a cartilage in my knee in too! #FML #WoahIsMii #YouCantTakeMeAnywhere

What’s worse is that both injuries are not in the same leg… As I said, I’d torn the ligament of my right thigh previously and I’ve just found out that I also have torn the cartilage in my left knee.

Last week, I was on bed rest most days because I legitimately couldn’t get up and out of bed… Once I felt like it had healed enough for me to return to work (this week), I went right away. Now though, I’m kind of wishing I didn’t…

At first I thought my knee pain was due to bed rest. I literally hadn’t been up and out of my room for three days so I thought it was taking its toll on my body, making my limbs and joints stiff… But, since getting rushed to hospital this morning because my leg gave way at work, I’ve realised that it’s a lot more serious.

Obviously, for those of you who don’t know, my “Miumba” and exercising has contributed to the tears of my muscles, I assume. Hence why the title of this post is: ‘The Importance of Stretching Correctly’. I say this because I don’t think I was stretching correctly. Either that or I went too far with it… Who knows. Everything in moderation, guys and dolls! Everything in moderation.

So, my message to you is: stretch and stretch correctly. Whether you’re working out or just dancing/moving around, stretch. Stretching of the muscles and body joints is vital.

Another message: if you’re suffering from an injury, don’t rush things. Take your time. Let it heal. Don’t think you can do things normally again when you clearly can’t… Let this be a lesson. Be patient or else you’ll cause yourself a greater injury.

No Miumba for me anymore…

Ladies,

I feel like I’ve neglected you tonight…

I’ll be attending the Lush Summit and trade show. I’m also wanting to share this opportunity with you. So, if you too would like to attend, and are available next Wednesday and Thursday, are based in London or the UK, then come on down!

It’s at Tobacco Dock. The details are on Eventbrite. Tickets are FREE!

If you’re a fan of LUSH, want to go, and can, do it! It’ll be a lovely experience. You’ll get to check out all of their upcoming products and try them for yourselves.

Tell them you’re a blogger and they’ll give you samples to try. Show them you’re successful and get readers/followers and they may invite you to all of their events as well. Try. If you don’t try, you’ll never know.
