MANNA GLO

Another post, another Glossybox product – this time, I’m reviewing one that appeared in this month’s package: MANNA: GLO.

Incandescent highlighter that can be used on the face and body to create a beautiful “Glo”! Formerly known as Sheer Glo, the newly re-formulated, Glo Illuminator is an incandescent liquid that lights up your skin giving it an all over radiance. Mix with foundation or wear alone to provide a luminous glow for all skin types. This is an especially amazing product for mature or dry skin. Glo Illuminator provides a youthful glow and dewy finish. Use on face and/or body and get glowing.

MANNA GLO is a highlighter. It’s of shimmery, transparent/pale pink serum-y consistency. It applies on the tops of the cheekbones, to further accentuate the area that bounces off the light. Do I like it? Not really. For someone who prefers a matte finish, and wants to blend in with society (in looks, not personality), this did not suit me.

I looked like Rudolph the SHINY cheekboned Reindeer a quadrillion times removed, so it’s definitely not for me. To think that I was looking forward to trying it…

Look, it’s not a bad product, the pigment is nice (pearly pink), the packaging is nice (pearly pink tube) and (if shining bright like Rihanna’s diamond is your thing) the result is nice. I’m just not a fan. (Probably because I don’t have a Sam Heck of an idea about Highlighting something that isn’t on paper with an INK PEN).

I was slightly (positively) surprised when I found out that I was sent a full-sized product (the cost of which is $29.00)… However, that excitement soon turned to annoyance because (like the full sample of Batiste that was sent and haven’t used), it’s another product that has gone to waste. SMHF (Shake My Hands & Feet). I don’t think this product was made for hands nor feet but there you go…
