Have I blogged about Dark Angels before? I think not… So, here goes.
This is a post about Dark Angels, one of the best cleansers I have ever used. When I had acne, it was my go to cleanser after Kiehl’s Blue Herbal had done its job.
Not many know this but I actually worked at LUSH as a Christmas Temp, and I loved every second of it… During that time, my makeup application was heavy (to cover my acne), and my pores were blocked, and I wasn’t confident. It was awful. However, I do believe LUSH’s Dark Angels helped me. I’ve been using it for years and have noticed a real difference in the appearance of my skin’s texture, overall complexion and cleanliness.
As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, Lush’s Dark Angels is an allrounder for me, I use it as a mask, a cleanser and a scrub. It’s got activated charcoal (my favourite ingredient in facial washes), Rhassoul mud, avocado oil and black sugar granules – but somehow smells like liquorice…
The two things I don’t like about it are that it somehow leaves a black tint to your skin, when not washed properly and if not washed off in the right water temperature, it could leave the sugar granules in your pores.
However, I’ve got a confession to make – I haven’t been using it as my cleanser anymore… I’ve actually been using it to brush my teeth with. Strange, huh? Well, actually, no – not really… I’ve been discovering lots of charcoal toothpastes that claim to strengthen and whiten teeth but I’ve just not wanted to purchase some in regret, in case I didn’t like it. So, instead, I’ve been using LUSH’s Dark Angels, and I can say that my teeth have never felt so clean or looked so white. It’s actually incredible. It’s really, very strange (the taste and the texture of it), I’m not going to lie, but the results speak for themselves. Wow!
