Lads, if you read the word “Lingerie” and thought “KERCHING!” close this tab to save yourself any form of disappointment.

I’m still bereft at the news that Guerlain discontinued what (I thought) was their best foundation, ever. There won’t be another like it, ever.

No, ladies, my albeit three marbles (last time I checked) are still intact, and still not lost. I may be discussing a discontinued product, but I’m doing so in a hope that they’ll read this and resurrect it.

Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Compact. Guerlain fulfils every woman`s dream by creating an all-in-one moisturising cream foundation and concealer that seems to fuse with the skin so perfectly it cannot be seen or felt. The two complementary shades blend seamlessly, creating a second skin effect, tailored to match the natural perfection of each individual complexion. SPF 20 PA+++.Technological breakthrough: Bio-Fusion micro-mesh. Stretchy fibres to smooth and shape the contours of the face have been combined with silk and linen fibres that create an imperceptible veil of perfection for an ultimate second-skin effect. Hyaluronic acid, a powerfully hydrating molecule known for its ability to continuously capture and maintain water in the skin surface is encapsulated in the micro-mesh, and works to immediately restore youthful freshness to the complexion.

It’s a cream-compact foundation that features a foundation and highlighter/concealer combined. It also has a mirror and a really good sponge to apply it, but let’s face it, you’re not going to be wearing the sponge and the mirror on your face, are you?

The packaging is a black flat plastic flip-case, and comes in a smooth, velvety fabric cover. Le freak, c’est chic, FREAK OUT! #Chic

Guerlain’s Lingerie De Peau, smelled very subtly fragrant. I loved the smell of it.

The application? First skin. Not even second. It really improved the look of the top layer of the skin, smoothing away any fine lines, covering pores seamlessly, and creating a protective but healing layer on top of blemishes. Honestly, it hid them well, and when I washed it off, it was like they’d started to heal.

As you can see, it’s also got SPF 20 in it, so you’ll definitely be getting added sun/UV ray protection!

I rediscovered mine last year, after a couple of years of losing it, thinking I’d forgotten it at Uni or something, and I used it. No, it’s not advised to wear products after the date shown on the back of the packaging, but I did because I loved it and still do.

To my surprise, I’ve found that a few independent online stores sell it! I’m unaware if they’re still in date, but – I definitely will be repurchasing from there IF Guerlain doesn’t bring it back!

If you’ve tried this, and loved it, I’d appreciate it if you could comment below. I’ll tweet the link to this post to Guerlain (as a petition) and see if they can bring it back… Honestly, it’s the best foundation I have ever tried in my time of existence, no exaggeration.
