Lush: Enzymion

Guys, dolls, cats, dogs, birds, and aliens… You haven’t lived until you’ve tried Lush‘s Enzymion!

A gentle face cream to replenish moisture without oiliness, leaving a matte finish. We use a whole fresh lemon in every pot to stop your skin looking shiny, popped in fresh papaya, and blended in light oils and cocoa butter. Fresh fruit contains enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids to remove dead skin cells and help to stimulate and brighten.

The reality is that you and I both probably can’t and won’t be able to pronounce it correctly, but luckily – it’s a moisturiser and not an English language exam. I say this because even the Lush sales assistants don’t even know! 😆 The amount of times I’ve heard “en-zim-ion” and “enzy-my-on”, which resulted in me not being able to tell my derrière from my funny bone!

No change there, then! #JOKING

Thankfully, this post isn’t about the spelling of Enzymion nor a deep and meaningful quest/journey of discovery into my anatomy. Instead, it’s about this lovely moisturiser. Maybe next time?

You’ll remember when I hastily fell in love with Vanishing Cream after trying it on three times (as a sample) 😆 I mean, that’s me to a T!

Paolo Nutini should’ve sung #MiamiiDontBeHasty, ’cause “Jenny” who?!

But, I had reason to. It actually worked and really helped my acne both scarring and fresh breakouts. The only thing I didn’t like about Vanishing Cream (when I bought a full pot) was that the formula stayed on my face as opposed to seaping in. However, that may’ve been down to the amount I wore, I didn’t have this problem when I was trying the sample…

Anyway, you might be pleased to know that Enzymion isn’t like that. It dries matte and really smoothens and softens the skin. It’s glorious! I like its citrussy scent (one whole lemon went into making it). #Lemonade #BeyonceIsQueen #LetMeBeTheFiyonceToYourBaeZ

Enzymion comes in a standard Lush black pot (same size as the face masks) and if you collect 5 of them (any size) you can return ’em to the shop to pick up a FREE face mask of your choice. This is part of their recycling scheme.

What does Enzymion do? Well, it’s similar to Vanishing Cream in that it’s specifically for acne-prone (or used to be) skin but Vanishing Cream, I found out later, was for the drier skin-type whereas Enzymion was for combination-oily.

I’d put mine at combination because my T-Zone (in hot, humid temperatures) can probably guide you home after a night out. No, really! 😂

Now for the scripted (but honest) part which appears in almost all my posts… I honestly noticed that my skin didn’t breakout after using it. Like, in fact, I’ll say that out of all the posts that have “I didn’t breakout” in them, this one is #1. It is so, so, good. I’m not in love with it like I was when I first discovered  Vanishing Cream, but I do love it more than Vanishing Cream, if that makes sense? Potentially none of this post has made any sense whatsoever, so I wouldn’t worry too much!

Love and light (of the non-TZone variety) to you all ,

Catch you on the flip side! #FlipReverse
